Danerka is a family-owned company located on the beautiful island Funen in Denmark. Danerka was established by Erik Kaastrup in 1988, and has since the beginning been a leading supplier of Danish produced, architect drawn, chairs and tables in exquisite quality. In 2012, Danerka was acquired by the family-owned and run Hudevad Formfiner, which for many years has been a sub-supplier of wooden shells for Danerka. Hudevad Formfiner has been producing shell chairs and other laminated veneer components since 1967.

It is important for us to be able to pass on the heritage that Denmark has for manufacturing high-quality designer furniture.

At Danerka we have chosen to place all of our production in Denmark, this means that all shells, frames, standard plastic parts and packaging material are produced at local Danish sub-suppliers – Danerkas products are 100% “Made in Denmark”.
