Georg Stool. Black. In a warm meeting between Nordic sensuality and Japanese minimalism, Georg Stool strikes a solitary pose. Georg’s DNA is characterized by its slender wooden poles and rounded edges – crafted from light FSC-certified Oak. A braided leather strap keeps the soft, woolen cushion in place on the seat, fulfilling the material encounter of textile, skin and wood. Light Grey cushion.

I mainly work with furniture and smaller objects for the home always taking my starting point in everyday situations. I find it interesting to work with familiarity and neutrality as topics in order to create new expressions and purposes for my objects. This applies whether I work with companies such as Skagerak, Frama and +Halle or with objects for exhibitions.
In 2017 I recieved the Three Year Work grant from The Danish Arts forundation / Statens Kunstfond.
I established my studio in 2007 after graduating from The Royal Danish Academy in Copenhagen with prior studies in Stockholm, Sweden and Berlin, Germany.
In addition to running my own studio, I am part of the duo INCLUDED MIDDLE together with textile designer Margrethe Odgaard. We design furniture and objects from the two simple questions; what if colour and pattern are seen as something suggesting form and what if form is seen as something suggesting pattern.
