Stool of solid oak with semi-circular seat, mounted on three round, tapering legs. Designed 1942. Made by cabinetmaker K. Thomsen with makers label.

Mogens Lassen
Denmark (1901-1987)
Architect Mogens Lassen trained at the Technical School 1919-23 and continued his training at various design practices. He had his own design practice from 1935.
Mogens Lassen was inspired by European functionalism, which particularly characterized his early works. The white single-family houses are influenced by Le Corbusier’s cubism, and the simple steel tube furniture, such as the armchair (RP03169), by the German Bauhaus school.
