British designer John Tree revisited the iconic Banker's Light, blending traditional elements with his modern and colorful touch to create the Apex lighting collection. Each piece is distinguished by its elegantly folded steel lampshade, reminiscent of a roof, mounted on a delicate chrome base.
The Apex range offers various models: clip-on lamp, desk clip-on lamp, desk lamp, and table lamp, suitable for various settings, from the office to the bedroom, spanning all rooms of the house.
Thanks to its 360-degree rotation capability, the lampshade provides optimal lighting flexibility. The color palette plays a pivotal role in the design, presenting a striking contrast with the chrome finish of the base.

I am a London based product and furniture designer currently dividing my time between Jasper Morrison's studio and my own.
My practice spans contract and domestic furniture, lighting, accessories and electronics.
Often pushing and exploring industrial processes I seek an economy in form that drives flexibility and longevity.
Graduating from Kingston University I began my career at London based consultancy FM Design, working for brands such as Samsonite, Yale and Tupperware before joining the Sony Design team.
As a Senior designer working in their Tokyo, London and San Francisco Design Centres I developed products across a wide range of Sony’s categories including Mobile, TV, and Personal Audio.
Returning from San Francisco I joined Jasper Morrisons Office for Design in London where I currently lead a small team.
Jaspers clients are global leaders in a broad range of categories such as electronics, furniture, tableware and lighting. Past and current brands include Cappellini, Emeco, Flos, Hermes, Muji, Magis, Punkt, Rowenta, Samsung, Olivetti, and Vitra
In 2016 I started my own office to facilitate working with personal clients. These include Deadgood, Epson, HAY, NaughtOne, Nine, Tala, Resident, ROLI, and VG&P.
I have been awarded an iF Design award in Hanover, the Red Dot design award, a Gold "G-Mark" Good Design award in Japan, been selected for the Millennium Product Collection, and received an Elle Deco award for British Design.
My work has also been widely featured in publications including Domus, Casamica, Creative Review, Design Magazine, Elle Deco, Frame, Icon, I.D. and Wallpaper.
I also hold numerous international patents, as both sole and joint inventor and am an occasional visiting tutor at the RCA and have been an external assessor at ECAL.
