Mencke & Vagnby Studio

Karina Mencke and Marcus Vagnby met each other on a green couch between their classrooms at The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. The chat developed into both a relationship and a partnership, and over time they established Studio mencke&vagnby.

The design duo mencke&vagnby consists of Karina Mencke (1977) and Marcus Vagnby (1981). They are both educated from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts.

They started their common drawing office after they met each other on a couch between their classrooms at The Academy.

Their beautiful design arises through a unique and creative process where the duo asks questions, tests their ideas and shows appreciation for both history and their contemporaries.

They draw timeless products in high quality because it prolongs the lifecycle of the product – in the end protecting the environment and our planet. It is a sustainable design with well-thought usability, aesthetics and choice of materials.
