Fredrik Torsteinsen

Fredrik Torsteinsen MNIL (1964) has a design education from the Norwegian National Academy of Craft and Art Industry in Oslo and journeyman´s certificate as a cabinetmaker. He is a partner in Torsteinsen Design that has received numerous awards, including eight times Design Excellence from the Norwegian Design Council. Fredrik's works have been shown in exhibitions in Norway and abroad. Torsteinsen Design has more than 20 years of experience in design, with professional expertise in carpentry, construction and textiles. Fredrik has a down to earth and a practical approach to design. His products are inspired by the functional, organic forms from the Scandinavian design tradition. He is striving to design products that are both beautiful and user-friendly. For Karl Andersson & Söner he has designed the coffee table Stix 2015.
