Tranekær Furniture

In 1974 Tranekær Furniture commenced production of furniture in a former warehouse belonging to the Tranekær Castle estate. The original production of furniture using end grain mosaique for table tops connects the name Tranekær Furniture with furniture of excellent craftsmanship. Today's production includes a wide range of architect-designed tables and chairs for private homes and for the contract market. The company works with international designers such as Van Den Berghe, Niels Jørgen Haugesen, Hans J. Wegner and Kurt Østervig. Now, priority is given to the craftsmanship  behind Tranekær Furniture, which is seen as an industrialized cabinet maker's workshop rather than a traditional factory.
