Getama

For almost 60 years Getama has been manufacturing furniture designed by the internationally acclaimed Danish designer Hans J. Wegner. This line of furniture is highly appreciated for its design, quality and durability and has become a collector's item to many. The company was founded in 1899 and initially specialized in seaweed mattresses. Today, besides spring mattresses and boxsprings, Getama produce a large range of high quality, contemporary designer furniture. In the 1990s Getama launched new products by the internationally renowned architect Nanna Ditzel. The Danish architect Niels Jørgen Haugesen is also one of the group of designers working with Getama. In 2006 Getama presented a new series of furniture in steel and wood, designed by 2R Rasmussen & Rolff. The series consists of a range of dining tables and chairs, benches etc.
